چکیده
Abstract An accurate assessment of root respiration in mine reclaimed soil is important for effectively evaluating mining area ecosystems. This study investigated dynamic changes and the contribution to total ( R r / t ratio) during non-growing season soil, with different covering-soil thicknesses. According thicknesses, was divided into four sites: 10–25 cm (site A), 25–45 B), 45–55 C), 55–65 D). From November 2017 April 2018 (except February 2018), respiration, temperature at 5 cm, water content, biomass were measured. The results show that exhibited similar diurnal monthly variations. strongly influenced by season, an exponential positive relationship P < 0.001). Root varies thickness greatest a cm. ratio also exhibits During mean value 51.15% soil. indicates primary source factor estimating potential emission CO 2 from regional scale.

Influence of Disturbance on Soil Respiration in Biologically Crusted Soil during the Dry Season
Soil respiration (Rs) is a major pathway for carbon cycling and is a complex process involving abiotic and biotic factors. Biological soil crusts (BSCs) are a key biotic component of desert ecosystems worldwide. In desert ecosystems, soils are protected from surface disturbance by BSCs, but it is unknown whether Rs is affected by disturbance of this crust layer. We measured Rs in three types of...
متن کاملHistorical climate controls soil respiration responses to current soil moisture.
Ecosystem carbon losses from soil microbial respiration are a key component of global carbon cycling, resulting in the transfer of 40-70 Pg carbon from soil to the atmosphere each year. Because these microbial processes can feed back to climate change, understanding respiration responses to environmental factors is necessary for improved projections. We focus on respiration responses to soil mo...

متن کاملTemperature Sensitivity of Soil Respiration to Nitrogen Fertilization: Varying Effects between Growing and Non-Growing Seasons
Nitrogen (N) fertilization has a considerable effect on food production and carbon cycling in agro-ecosystems. However, the impacts of N fertilization rates on the temperature sensitivity of soil respiration (Q10) were controversial. Five N rates (N0, N45, N90, N135, and N180) were applied to a continuous winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) crop on the semi-arid Loess Plateau, and the in situ s...
متن کاملContribution of root respiration to soil respiration in a rape (Brassica campestris L.) field in Southwest China
This study aimed to separate the respective contributions of root and microbial respiration to soil respiration in a rape field in Southwest China. The soil respiration was measured with a closed chamber technique and a regression method was used to apportion root and microbial respiration. Microbial and root respiration ranged from 70.67 to 183.77 mg CO2/m 2/h and 21.99 to 193.09 mg CO2/m 2/h,...
